A floor-to-ceiling storage wall, part of which steps forward at a shallower depth and divides the room.

What was wanted was a great deal of storage without a closed wall. So doors and open compartments alternate. The niches are lined in stained walnut, which breaks up the white front and makes the openings read deeper.
