Measuring, shop drawings and installation for practices, offices, hospitality and public rooms
Architectural joinery is the part of the trade that is fixed to the building: counters, reception desks, fitted units, partitions. We build it for the people who run the room: the practice owner, the restaurateur, the managing director. They are one-off pieces made to measure in our own workshop. We do not fit factory-made products. The questions are different from private commissions: not what it looks like, but whether the dimensions are right, whether the programme is realistic, and whether installation can happen without shutting the business.
How architectural joinery differs from furniture making
A piece of furniture stands in a room. A fitted element is part of the room and has to follow it: the tolerances that appear on site, the services already run, a programme in which other trades work before and after us. Measuring and shop drawings therefore come first, not last. Each quote is individual and detailed, so that what is being built is settled before fabrication.
What we build for commercial projects
Counters and reception desks
Curved counters with equipment fitted in. For Autismus Leben Berlin ALB gGmbH, a reception desk for new offices: designed, made and installed. For the Rote Beete Bar, 5.50 m carried through several radii with services running the full length of the carcass. For Physiotherapie Ringbahn, a reception curved on a wide radius, 4.50 m long.
Practice and office interiors
Fitted cupboards, reception areas and circulation for practices and offices. Where people work daily, the regulated dimensions and safety matter as much as the look. On a landing stair in a physiotherapy practice, that means the rise, the going and the handrail.
Fit-out for venues and technical rooms
Fitted elements that can be reconfigured. A control desk for a multimedia events hall is 8.00 m long, runs on castors and can be rebuilt; panels fix at any point along it.
Shopfitting for small retail spaces
Interiors for retail and exhibition floors, from a single fitted element to a complete space. As we are a small firm, the volume of work we can take on is limited, so that agreed time windows can be kept.
Materials and surfaces
Laminated boards where surfaces take daily wear, solid timber and veneer where a surface is on show. Bringing coated surfaces into curved forms is handwork. The Physiotherapie Ringbahn reception added numerous corners and edges to its radii. Surfaces are chosen for use, not from a catalogue.

Every project gets its own quote, detailed enough that scope and execution are fixed before fabrication.
Made in the workshop
Most of it is built at the workshop in Treptow. On site it is installation, not construction, which keeps time in the building short.
Installation and coordination
Installed to the programme and coordinated with the other trades. Working around an operating business is possible when the windows are fixed in advance.
