A box for small things that matter or are valuable, jewellery for example.

What makes this piece special is the veneer work, marquetry or inlay. The sides are veneered in walnut, the border of the lid in Tabasco mahogany, the lid itself in masur ash with inlaid initials in mahogany. Over that, a shellac polish built up by hand.

The box was a present for a milestone birthday.
