Dining table in Swiss pear

A classic, rustic dining and kitchen table in solid wild service tree, which the timber trade also calls Swiss pear. The top is four centimetres thick, glued up from several boards and held flat by two breadboard battens. An apron runs beneath it, and four straight legs of square section stand at the corners.

Built the traditional way with mortise-and-tenon joints, the surface oiled. A one-off piece for a private client in Potsdam. The photographs were taken in the workshop, shortly before delivery.
