Bespoke Bathroom Furniture
A washstand built around the basin that is already there, not the other way round.
A bathroom usually has little room to spare, and what is already fixed in place cannot be moved: the basin, the taps, the waste pipes, a wall that is not quite plumb. A bought piece still has to fit around all of it. We measure on site, including the existing plumbing, and build the washstand from that.
How we build it
The carcass hangs off the wall with no feet, so the floor runs through underneath and the room reads larger. Drawer fronts get milled finger pulls instead of hardware, each one milled individually. Where the wall calls for it, the carcass steps down to a lower height and becomes an open shelf, as in the first bathroom in Treptow, or a continuous top runs across the carcass to the bathtub, as in the second.
Materials and finishes
Oak, solid and veneered. In a bathroom the surface has to take damp and splashes. Other timbers on request.
